About this vacancy
As an Experienced DataStage Developer, you play a key role in maintaining and evolving a critical legacy data platform while supporting the organization's transition towards a modern cloud-based data ecosystem. You ensure the stability, performance, and continuity of existing DataStage solutions while contributing to migration initiatives towards Microsoft Azure and modern data platforms.
Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining, supporting, and enhancing existing IBM DataStage ETL workflows and data integration processes.
- Performing impact analyses and implementing small to medium-sized changes to the legacy data platform.
- Troubleshooting production issues and ensuring the reliability of data pipelines.
- Collaborating with business users, analysts, and technical teams to deliver ongoing improvements.
- Supporting the migration of data workloads from on-premises environments to Azure-based data platforms.
- Assisting in the redesign and modernization of data integration processes and architectures.
- Ensuring data quality, security, governance, and compliance standards are upheld.
- Documenting existing solutions, enhancements, and migration activities.
- Contributing to knowledge transfer and helping bridge the gap between legacy and cloud technologies.
What we expect from you
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a DataStage Developer, ETL Developer, or in a similar data integration role.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage development, maintenance, and support.
- Solid knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, data mapping, and data quality principles.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy data platforms in enterprise environments.
- Exposure to cloud technologies and data modernization initiatives.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data services is considered a strong plus.
- Familiarity with modern data engineering concepts, data lakes, and cloud-based architectures is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
