CDL Class A Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently using a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage the loading and unloading of goods. TWIC CARD NEEDED AND PORT EXPERIENCE Duties Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, to transport freight to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details as required by regulations. Navigate routes effectively while complying with traffic laws and regulations. Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues that arise during transit. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience driving tractor-trailers and dump trucks preferred. Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and clients. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
