Frontend Developer Intern

Job Description:

Build and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces using our frontend stack.

Translate UI/UX designs into clean, reusable components.

Integrate frontend components with backend REST APIs and handle asynchronous data flows.

Write unit and integration tests for the code you ship.

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups.

Fix bugs, improve performance, and help reduce frontend technical debt.

The intern will learn:

How we'll evaluate you (internship KPIs)

Ships assigned tickets within sprint estimates with acceptable quality.

Code passes review with a decreasing number of revision cycles over time.

Demonstrates growing independence, needing less hand-holding by month 2.

Test coverage on delivered components meets team standards.

Collaborates well and communicates blockers early.

Must-have qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience with a portfolio).

Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

Working knowledge of at least one modern framework — React preferred (or Vue/Angular).

Understanding of Git and collaborative version control.

Ability to read API documentation and consume RESTful services.

Good written and spoken English communication.

Nice-to-have

Experience with TypeScript.

Exposure to responsive/mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility.

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

Awareness of web security fundamentals (XSS, CSRF, secure token storage).
