Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will assist with medication administration, and manage inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in a pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
- Support the pharmacy team in daily operations, including cleaning and organizing workspaces.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Fillware Software is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
- Candidates with undergraduate diploma in Pharmacy Assistant Program preferred.
- Should be able to communicate in English effectively
Education
- Secondary School (preferred)
- pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
What we offer
Pay: $17.95-$21.00 per hour
