senior production engineer

About the company

Our client is a leading Egyptian manufacturer of LV/MV electrical panels and switchgear, located in 10th of Ramadan City. Due to expansion, they are looking for Production Engineers to join their electrical production team.

Your tasks

• Supervise electrical assembly and wiring of LV/MV panels on the shop floor according to approved single line and wiring diagrams.
• Oversee busbar fabrication and installation, component mounting and internal wiring.
• Plan and assign daily work to wiring and assembly technicians to meet production and delivery targets.
• Carry out in-process inspection and testing, and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients and consultants.
• Ensure all work complies with IEC 61439, approved drawings and quality standards.
• Review shop drawings and BOMs before production and raise any design deviations to the Technical Office.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Stores and the Technical Office to keep production flowing smoothly.
• Track daily output, rework and productivity, and prepare production reports.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce rework, waste and cycle time.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• http://B.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in LV/MV panel or switchgear production (assembly, wiring, busbar, testing).
• Good knowledge of IEC 61439, panel wiring diagrams, single line diagrams and busbar systems.
• Experience leading and supervising a team of technicians on the shop floor.
• Experience supporting FATs and routine testing (insulation, hipot, functional tests).
• Experience with Schneider, ABB or Siemens panel systems is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD / EPLAN and ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, organization and communication skills.
