Read drawings and follow the welding procedure and supervisor’s instructions.

Prepare and fit metal parts, then weld, gouge, or cut them.

Remove slag and check the finished weld for defects and measurements.

Use welding tools and lifting equipment safely, and report faults or unsafe conditions.

Wear required protective equipment and follow hot-work and fire-safety procedures.
