Job Summary

X3 Builds seeks a hands-on Project Coordinator / Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support planning, coordination, and commercial management of construction projects, ensuring organized project information, site coordination, and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project activities, meetings, site matters, and follow-ups to ensure smooth project execution
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, progress updates, meeting minutes, and documentation for accurate tracking
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to manage drawings, submissions, materials, and work progress
  • Assist in performing quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, quotations, budgets, and progress claims to support financial control
  • Track variations, project costs, purchase orders, and subcontractor claims to maintain budget accuracy
  • Review project drawings and specifications to identify quantities, scope, and potential discrepancies for risk mitigation
  • Support tender submissions, procurement processes, and contract documentation to facilitate project delivery
  • Monitor site progress and promptly raise coordination issues or delays to the project team for timely resolution
  • Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, costs, and supporting documents for audit and reporting purposes
  • Execute other project-related duties as required to support overall project success

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in construction project coordination and/or quantity surveying
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with measurement, cost estimation, progress claims, and variation tracking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with QS or project management software is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills with responsibility and follow-through on tasks
  • Effective communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
