Your tasks

As a Sales Associate, you?ll help customers select flowers and gifts, process orders, handle transactions, and assist with maintaining the shop?s welcoming appearance. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves flowers, enjoys working with people, and wants a flexible, part-time position in a supportive family business.

Duties

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Take orders in person or by phone
• Process payments and handle the cash register/point-of-sale transactions
• Assist with packaging and preparing floral arrangements for pickup/delivery
• Receive and process incoming flower deliveries
• Water plants and maintain freshness by trimming wilted blooms and removing dead leaves
• Ensure cooler and workspaces are clean and organized
• Prepare the cash register for the next day by restocking receipt paper, staples, pens, and other supplies

Requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a flower shop is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable handling cash and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as a part of a team
• Availability to work some weekends and holidays, including busy floral seasons
• Ability to perform light physical tasks such as lifiting, watering plants, and cleaning the cooler

• Retail sales: 3 years (preferred)

• English (preferred)
• French (preferred)

What we offer

Compensation

• Pay is commensurate with experience

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

• Part-time position; schedule may vary based on shop needs
• Additional hours may be required during busy holidays and peak seasons
• Availability to work during holidays is required
