Accountabilities: The Senior Data Architect / Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing modern data platforms while ensuring scalability, governance, and performance. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support teams through complex data initiatives.

Design and evolve data platforms based on Lakehouse architecture principles.

Develop scalable ETL and ELT pipelines to support business and analytical needs.

Implement and optimize solutions using Databricks and Delta Lake.

Build and maintain data processing workflows using PySpark and SQL.

Define architecture standards, governance practices, and performance optimization strategies.

Integrate and transform data from multiple sources while ensuring reliability and quality.

Support technical teams with guidance on data engineering practices and architecture decisions.

Document technical solutions, processes, and architectural standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

Contribute to continuous improvement of data platforms, tools, and engineering practices.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior data professional with strong experience in data engineering, cloud platforms, and modern analytics architectures.

Solid experience working with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL .

Strong knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture concepts.

Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.

Experience with data modeling and data integration solutions.

Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

Ability to define and apply data architecture and governance best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience collaborating with technical teams and documenting complex solutions.

Nice to Have:

Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow .

Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Data Factory .

Experience with DataOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.

Databricks or cloud-related certifications.

Experience working in consulting environments or with multiple client projects.
