The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Stock Controller to join a highly regarded, multi-award-winning luxury interiors business operating at the premium end of the residential property market. The business delivers luxury home staging, show homes, bespoke furniture schemes and interior design projects across London and the wider UK. As part of its continued growth, it is now seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy, inventory systems and stock movements from its Twickenham HQ.

The Role

You will ensure the business has an accurate view of what stock it owns, where it is located, what is deployed to projects and what is available for future use.

Furniture, artwork, lighting and accessories regularly move between the warehouse and residential projects before being collected, returned, inspected and redeployed. Accurate stock control is therefore central to the operation.

Working closely with the Head of Warehouse & Logistics, warehouse team, interior designers and project teams, you will ensure all movements are recorded correctly and the inventory system remains reliable and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock locations.
• Record and reconcile stock movements into and out of the warehouse.
• Track furniture, artwork, lighting and accessories allocated to projects.
• Ensure returned items are correctly booked back into stock.
• Conduct cycle counts, stock audits and stocktakes.
• Investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Maintain records for damaged, missing or unavailable stock.
• Liaise with warehouse and design teams on stock availability.
• Support stock allocation for upcoming installations.
• Improve processes around goods-in, returns and internal movements.

About You

You may currently be a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Stock Manager, Inventory Coordinator or Warehouse Inventory Controller.

Experience within furniture, interiors, homeware, luxury goods, retail, fashion, removals or a 3PL environment would be advantageous, although candidates from other inventory-led environments will also be considered.

You will need strong systems capability, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to investigate discrepancies rather than simply record them. A methodical, organised and dependable approach is essential.
