Wood is currently looking to recruit for Warehouse Supervisor to support ADNOC Gas EPCm project based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

As a senior member of the Supply Chain team reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, establishing and supervising a team of materials personnel.

Supervise the safe operation of the Wood Warehouse and other materials facilities onsite Habshan P5 and shutdown projects as and when required

Manage materials allocation to construction work-packs and provide timely information with respect to availability of materials, equipment and services in respect of the work-packs at each defined stage of the procurement to construction cycle

Manage all quarantine and receipt inspection OS&D

Communicate with the procurement team and the project fabrication contractors to expedite deliveries, schedules, arrange returns, notify of complaints or rejections

Communicate with the HSSE team to ensure safe handling and movement of materials and equipment to the worksite

Provide input to and/or prepare a summary of the status of material and equipment availability

Understand the project planning and scheduling methodologies

Provide detailed materials status reports (MSR), in line with project reporting deadlines

Prepare and maintain structured and indexed files in respect of purchase order/materials documents

Personally abide by ethical practice in all dealings with company vendors

Input to timely close out of purchase orders

Build a strong working relationship with all P&M customers, internal and external

Responsible for the supervision of all warehouse, materials handling and storage in accordance with company/client procedures ensuring that all transactions are auditable and purchase orders are closed out expediently

Materials management reporting

Comply with company/client safety rules

Expected:

Experience in working on large oil and gas brownfield/greenfield contracts. 10+ years in a senior/supervisory position

On/offshore construction project materials coordination experience

Operating a computerized materials control system

Interfacing with suppliers, engineering, QA/QC, document control, procurement, and client representatives when required

Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information

Ability to work effectively, prioritize and develop realistic action plans in a fast-paced work environment

Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

Excellent level of communication in English

Able to work as a member of a team; ability to mentor/develop the skill of the team

Proven management skills; organizational ability

Proactive and motivated

Commercially competent in the field of procurement and materials supervisory

Computer literate in MMS

Knowledge of local and international standards applicable to their position
