Volunteer & Animal Coordinator
Location: Al Sorat Farm, Abu Sir, Giza
This is a live-in role. During the week you will stay at a beautiful, lush, peaceful farm in Abu Sir with your own room in a modern flat with air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi and fully equipped kitchen.
In this dynamic, people-facing job at the heart of our volunteer program, you will be responsible for hosting international volunteers who either join us as qualified vets who are volunteering to help animals, or as paying students who are coming to gain work experience.
Key Responsibilities
The work includes:
Volunteer coordination
Welcome and orientate international volunteers on arrival
Travel with them to our partner clinics or shelters each day
Spend time helping with basic animal care or veterinary tasks
Coordinate daily schedules and meetings
Act as the main point of contact for volunteers during their stay
Assisting with translation (Arabic-English)
Animal Care & Clinical Support
Assist veterinary staff with basic clinical tasks under supervision
Help prepare animals for surgery and assist with recovery or post-operative care
Support general animal handling, cleaning, and welfare tasks
No prior veterinary experience is required; full on-the-job training will be provided
Cultural Hosting & Activities
Organise and facilitate afternoon and evening excursions
Join them on cultural excursions such as pyramid trips, markets, and shopping (costs all covered)
Provide informal interpretation of local customs and support volunteers in experiencing Egypt safely and comfortably
Socialise with volunteers and ensure they feel supported, included, and engaged

We are looking for :
Woman
Aged 20 to 40 (flexible)
Egyptian national or resident
Fluent English speaker
Friendly, outgoing, and confident working with international guests

Enjoy working with people
Happy to be actively involved in both animal care and hospitality
Comfortable working in a hands-on animal environment (including cleaning tasks)
Flexible attitude to working hours (as tourism/volunteer schedules can vary)
Reliable, organised, and able to take initiative
Additional advantages for this role:
Fluent in Arabic
Driving license (+/- car)
Computer competence (Microsoft, Google)
Experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer-facing roles
Able to produce photos and videos for social media
Experience working in multicultural environments
