Commis Chef

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their culinary skills in a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in compliance with HACCP requirements.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of food stock.
• Keep workstations clean, organised, and sanitised at all times.
• Support senior chefs during service and assist with kitchen operations.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen practices.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
