Site Chemist
Your tasks
This is a practical, hands-on role involving the classification, sampling and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. The position is predominantly site-based and outdoors, offering excellent training and long-term career prospects within a specialist industry.
Duties include
- Inspecting and classifying incoming waste streams
- Sampling and basic testing activities
- Waste segregation and storage
- Completion of compliance documentation
- Supporting waste treatment and dispatch operations
- Maintaining health, safety and environmental standards
Requirements
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to begin a career within the scientific and environmental sector. Whether you're a recent graduate, have scientific qualifications but haven't yet secured a role within the industry, or are looking for a new direction, full training will be provided by an experienced and supportive team.
- Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Ecology, Applied Science or a similar scientific discipline
- A-Level Chemistry or Applied Science qualifications also considered
- Comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
