About the company

Your tasks

We are looking for a motivated Fundraising & Project Development Intern to help Pangaea Youth Network develop new projects and secure funding for our local and international activities. You will have the opportunity to work on real funding applications and contribute directly to the growth and development of a youth NGO.

Position Overview This is a hands-on internship where you will work closely with our management and project team to identify funding opportunities, develop fundraising strategies, create new project ideas, and prepare grant applications.

You will help turn ideas into real projects by researching funding programmes, developing project concepts, planning activities, preparing budgets, and writing applications for funding.

Our main focus is on Erasmus+ projects, Danish foundations, municipal funding opportunities, and international programmes supporting youth work, education, inclusion, community development, sustainability, and international cooperation.

  • Fundraising Strategy: Research and develop fundraising strategies for PYN, identify potential funding sources, analyse funding requirements, and help create a long-term fundraising plan for the organisation.
  • Funding Research: Identify relevant grants and funding opportunities from Erasmus+, Danish foundations, municipalities, EU programmes, and international funding organisations. Monitor application deadlines, eligibility requirements, funding priorities, and available budgets.
  • Project Development: Help develop new local and international project ideas based on PYN’s mission, community needs, and funding opportunities. Contribute to defining project objectives, target groups, activities, expected results, and long-term impact.
  • Grant Writing: Prepare and write funding applications, including project descriptions, needs analysis, objectives, activities, methodology, expected outcomes, sustainability plans, and dissemination strategies.
  • Project Budgets: Support the preparation of project budgets, financial plans, funding requests, and cost estimates in cooperation with the management and accounting team.
  • Partnership Development: Research potential local and international project partners, foundations, sponsors, and organisations. Support communication with stakeholders and help develop partnerships for future funding applications.
  • Project Planning: Help create project timelines, work plans, activity schedules, responsibilities, and implementation strategies for proposed projects.
  • Funding Database: Maintain an organised overview of funding opportunities, application deadlines, eligibility criteria, application progress, submitted proposals, and funding results.
  • Organisational Development: Contribute ideas for improving PYN’s financial sustainability, expanding its activities, and developing new services or initiatives that could attract additional funding.

You will work closely with PYN’s management and receive guidance on project development, funding research, and grant writing. At the same time, you will have opportunities to take responsibility for your own research, project concepts, and application drafts.
