Your tasks
Job Summary The Kitchen Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen in a restaurant setting. This position is responsible for overseeing catering, food preparation, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and managing kitchen staff. Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality in food preparation.
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Develop and implement menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new kitchen staff.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary best practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Hospitality: 2 years (required)
