Accountabilities: The Senior Quality and Safety Programs Specialist independently supports quality, safety, and compliance initiatives across client assignments and internal programs. The role focuses on ensuring effective program execution, improving processes, and driving measurable performance improvements through audits, assessments, and data-driven analysis.

Coordinate with project teams to plan, execute, and deliver assigned program activities and client deliverables.

Develop, monitor, and improve program performance metrics, objectives, and targets to enhance effectiveness and operational outcomes.

Create, update, and implement program procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

Identify program risks, document findings, and verify the completion and effectiveness of corrective and improvement actions.

Plan, support, and lead internal and client audits and assessments to evaluate program performance and compliance.

Review audit findings, improvement opportunities, and corrective actions to ensure appropriate documentation and objective evidence.

Provide training and guidance to personnel on quality, safety, and program requirements.

Support supplier performance evaluation activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Analyze program trends and performance data to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency and compliance.

Collaborate with federal clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to support mission objectives and maintain strong program execution.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in quality assurance, safety programs, regulatory compliance, and operational improvement within technical or industrial environments. They should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with structured quality management systems.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 10 years of related experience supporting comprehensive regulatory requirements, quality programs, or safety initiatives.

Ability to successfully complete a federal background investigation and obtain/maintain required security clearance if applicable.

U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract security requirements.

Experience with NQA-1 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and understanding of OSHA requirements and implementation practices.

Ability to obtain NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification.

Experience developing, implementing, and improving regulatory programs and procedures in industrial or highly regulated environments.

Experience conducting or leading audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.

Strong understanding of systematic implementation approaches using graded methods.

Ability to provide program oversight, coordinate across multiple organizations, and interact effectively with federal stakeholders.

Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.

Ability and willingness to travel periodically to client sites, typically for 3–10 business days.

Professional certifications related to quality, safety, compliance, or technical disciplines are preferred.

Active DOE or DoD security clearance is strongly preferred.
