Senior Technical Consultant, Enterprise Wireless Networking
Accountabilities: The Senior Technical Consultant will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise networking solutions while providing technical guidance throughout client engagements. This role requires a balance of strategic architecture, hands-on engineering, troubleshooting expertise, and strong stakeholder communication.
Design and implement enterprise network solutions across campus, branch, and data center environments.
Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, design reviews, and deployment activities for client projects.
Develop detailed high-level and low-level design documentation, implementation plans, testing strategies, and technical deliverables.
Configure, validate, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching technologies in complex production environments.
Design and deploy enterprise wireless solutions focused on coverage, capacity, roaming, and performance optimization.
Perform wireless site surveys, predictive designs, and post-deployment validation using industry-standard tools such as Ekahau.
Implement and support network access control solutions, including authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement capabilities.
Provide technical leadership during migrations, implementations, cutovers, and post-deployment optimization activities.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to technical standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Support pre-sales activities through solution assessments, technical recommendations, and effort estimation.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise networking professional with strong consulting capabilities and hands-on expertise in designing and implementing secure network infrastructures. They should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating with customers, and independently driving technical solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions.
Required CCNP certification with strong expertise in routing, switching, and BGP technologies.
Required CWNA certification, with CWNE certification considered a strong advantage.
Proven experience designing enterprise network architectures and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of BGP design, routing policies, path selection, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms and enterprise networking architectures.
Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks.
Practical experience conducting wireless surveys and wireless designs using Ekahau.
Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including access control policies and network authentication.
Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, DHCP, and DNS fundamentals.
Ability to create clear technical documentation, network diagrams, implementation plans, and client-facing deliverables.
Strong communication, presentation, and consulting skills with the ability to work directly with customers.
Ability to manage multiple project-based priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred experience with Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Juniper, or Meraki networking platforms.
Preferred experience with network assessments, refresh projects, migrations, and greenfield deployments.
