Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and other network infrastructure
Install, configure, and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and related equipment
Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security using appropriate network monitoring tools
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and configuration issues within agreed service levels
Perform network configuration changes, upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance
Support the implementation and maintenance of network security controls, including firewall rules, access controls, VPNs, and network segmentation
Participate in the design and deployment of network infrastructure for new projects and business requirements
Conduct network performance analysis and recommend improvements where necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology, IP addressing, devices, and changes
Support network capacity planning and contribute to infrastructure scalability and optimization
Liaise with Internet Service Providers, vendors, and other technical teams to resolve network-related issues
Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and other IT staff
Conduct network testing and validation after implementations or changes
Ensure network infrastructure complies with organizational IT, information security, and operational policies
Participate in scheduled on-call or after-hours support where required
Prepare technical reports on network performance, incidents, maintenance activities, and projects.
Perform other network-related duties as assigned by the Network Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum of an HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
Relevant experience in network engineering, network administration, or a similar role
Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, MikroTik, Fortinet, or equivalent are an advantage
Experience working with enterprise network equipment and technologies is desirable.
