scraper operator

*Howitt Construction* is a busy earthmoving company, based out of Red Deer, who specialize in road re-construction projects, new landfill and lagoon cells, and site preparation for residential/industrial and commercial developments.

We're looking for an experienced 627F scraper operator for a road construction project between Benalto & Eckville AB. Project start is asap.

_*Site Specific Details*_

• Strip sods/topsoil,
• Haul common and place to grade,
• Stockpile management.

_*Work Details*_

• 7am - 6pm,
• Long weekends off,
• Must have valid WHMIS ticket.

_*Scope of Work*_

• Complete walk arounds,
• Safely operate scraper,
• Identify soil types and strip topsoil cleanly,
• Efficiently load and unload material,
• Push/pull experience,
• Fuel & grease machine,
• Identify basic machine issues & contact site supervisor, no mechanical work needed (ie. locate blown hose, understand warning lights and gauges)

_*PPE Requirements*_

• High visibility vest,
• Hard hat,
• Steel toed boots,
• Gloves.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $34.00-$37.00 per hour
