Excavator Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to operate heavy equipment at construction sites. The successful candidate will perform excavation, trenching, grading, loading, and other earthmoving work while following site plans and safety procedures.

Job Requirements

• Valid excavator or heavy-equipment operator licence/certification
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to operate excavators safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of excavation, trenching, grading, and loading work
• Ability to understand site plans, markings, and supervisor instructions
• Basic knowledge of daily equipment inspection and maintenance
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or shifts when required
• Good teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
• Relevant construction safety certification, where required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators for digging, trenching, grading, and material handling
• Conduct daily equipment inspections before operation
• Report defects, damage, or maintenance needs immediately
• Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors
• Work safely around workers, utilities, structures, and other equipment
• Maintain accurate operating or inspection records
• Keep the machine clean and in safe working condition
• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations.
