Your new company

You will be joining a well-established national housebuilder on a busy new build housing development in Whitehaven. Due to planned annual leave, they require an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover and ensure the site continues to run smoothly, safely and to programme during a key stage of construction.

Your new role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the development during the cover period. You will oversee subcontractors, maintain health and safety standards, monitor progress against programme, and ensure quality standards are upheld across the site.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily site operations
  • Coordinating subcontractors and trades
  • Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance
  • Completing site paperwork and records
  • Monitoring build quality and programme
  • Liaising with the Contracts Manager and wider delivery team

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience managing new build housing developments
  • Valid SMSTS
  • Valid CSCS Card (Black or White)
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
  • Available to start this Friday and work through to the following Friday
