Automatic Door Technician - Glazing - Halifax
Flynn Canada’s Automatics and Glazing Service Team in Halifax is hiring! We’re looking for an experienced “Automatic Door Technician” to join our growing team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years experience installing automatic doors, access systems, and low-voltage
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or service-based roles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift equipment and work in active job-site environments
-AAADM certification (highly preferable) to ensure proper setup, inspection, and safety compliance of automatic door systems
OTHER DETAILED REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE YOUR ABILITY TO: -Responsible for on-site installation and repair of automatic doors, manual doors and glass units in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential settings -Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on automatic door systems -Provide high-quality customer service to our clients -Perform new door installations, preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance -Test door systems to ensure proper and safe operation -Read installation manuals, wiring diagrams, and service instructions -Maintain service records and parts inventory
- Represent the company professionally at all job sites
