Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dzorwulu. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Responsibilities include performing reconciliations for bank accounts and ledgers, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and supporting cash flow management. The role involves assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The Accountant will also prepare reports for management, support audits, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate, timely financial information.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Experience with bank and account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end closing processes. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of spreadsheets for analysis and reporting. Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with attention to detail and accuracy. Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA) is an advantage. Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within the financial services or related industry.
