Qualifications:
- Maintain professional boundaries in and out of the workplace.
- Experience working with teenage youth.
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture.
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License.
- Must pass Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Caring and compassionate attitude.
Duties:
- Support youth in exploring career goals while identifying and addressing barriers to employment.
- Be available to respond to client needs and requests where reasonable, in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Maintain a safe home environment.
- Prep and cook for 10 or more youth.
- Maintain an accurate daily log.
- Plan fun and educational activities for teenage youth.
- Support and guide the clients, teaching them responsibility as they transition into adulthood/independence.
- Ensure nightly cleaning duties are complete.
- Ensure major house cleaning duties are complete as well as normal everyday cleaning/chores.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Provide support and advocacy to the residents and clients of the YWCA.
- Provide feedback to Manager regarding clients.
- Provide feedback to the Manager on major issues and incident reports.
- Attend to crises as they arise during non-office hours.
- Contact the Supervisor/Manager in the event of a major crisis.
- Prioritize work, attending to the most urgent needs of the clientele first.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Any other duties as requested;
