Location: Singapore Employment Type: Full-Time Organisation: Young Education About the Role Young Education is looking for a strong and committed Full-Time Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team in Singapore. The teacher will primarily work with students from international schools in Singapore , covering Mathematics from lower secondary through IGCSE and IB Diploma levels. We are looking for someone who is not only confident in Mathematics, but also able to explain complex concepts clearly, identify students’ learning gaps, and support students over the long term. This role is particularly suitable for a teacher who understands both the Singapore education environment and international school curriculum , and who is comfortable working closely with students, parents, and our academic team. Key Responsibilities Teaching Teach Mathematics to Secondary and High School students , primarily from international schools in Singapore.

Teach across programmes including: Lower Secondary Mathematics

IGCSE Mathematics

IGCSE Additional Mathematics

IB Mathematics

IB Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA)

IB Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation (AI)

Ability to teach IB Mathematics at both SL and HL level is highly preferred.

Candidates who can additionally teach A-Level Mathematics / Further Mathematics will have an advantage.

Academic Support Assess students’ current mathematical ability and identify learning gaps.

Develop personalised study plans based on students’ school curriculum, academic level and examination targets.

Help students strengthen both: mathematical foundations and conceptual understanding;

examination techniques, problem-solving skills and accuracy.

Prepare students for school assessments, IGCSE examinations, IB examinations and other relevant external assessments.

Track students’ academic progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Curriculum & Teaching Materials Familiarise yourself with the curricula and assessment requirements of major international schools in Singapore.

Develop and organise lesson materials, practice sets, revision materials and mock examinations.

Participate in the development and improvement of Young Education’s Mathematics curriculum and teaching resources.

Maintain clear academic records for assigned students.

Student & Parent Communication Provide clear and constructive feedback on students’ progress.

Work closely with our academic and education-planning team to support students’ long-term academic development.

Communicate professionally with parents when necessary regarding students’ learning progress, challenges and next steps.

Support students in developing confidence, independent learning habits and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.

Candidate Requirements Essential Bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Science, Education , or another highly quantitative discipline.

Strong Mathematics foundation.

Strong command of spoken and written English , with the ability to teach Mathematics fully in English and Chinese.

Able to explain mathematical concepts in a clear, structured and student-friendly way.

Comfortable teaching students across different ability levels.

Responsible, patient and committed to students’ long-term progress.

Able to work full-time in Singapore.

Highly Preferred Previous experience teaching IB Mathematics AA / AI .

Experience with IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics .

Familiarity with international schools and international curricula in Singapore.

Experience teaching students from schools such as UWCSEA, Tanglin Trust, Dulwich College, NLCS, SAS or other international schools is an advantage.

Strong understanding of the Singapore education environment and the academic expectations of families based in Singapore.

Bilingual English and Mandarin ability is highly preferred, as the role may involve communication with Mandarin-speaking students and parents.

Candidates who completed part of their secondary or tertiary education in Singapore, or who have substantial experience studying, living or teaching in Singapore, are particularly welcome.

Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics / Further Mathematics is an additional advantage.
