Job purpose

The PMC Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring procurement activities performed by EPC contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC requirements, approved schedules, and contractual obligations. The role focuses on procurement oversight, expediting, vendor management, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment to support project execution.

Key responsibilities

Review and monitor EPC contractor procurement plans, procedures, and schedules

Ensure procurement activities comply with ADNOC standards, project requirements, and contract specifications

Monitor the status of purchase orders, vendor documentation, manufacturing progress, and delivery schedules

Identify critical and long-lead items and implement mitigation measures to avoid project delays

Review technical and commercial bid evaluations prepared by EPC contractors

Participate in vendor selection, bid clarification meetings, and procurement strategy discussions

Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, and project controls teams to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements

Monitor vendor performance and expedite critical equipment and material deliveries

Review procurement progress reports and provide updates to project management

Ensure proper handling of vendor data, documentation, certifications, and inspection requirements

Coordinate with logistics and material management teams regarding shipment and delivery schedules

Support risk assessments related to procurement activities and recommend corrective actions

Participate in project meetings and provide procurement status updates

Ensure compliance with company HSE, quality, and ethical procurement standards

Expected

Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, or equivalent)

Minimum 10–13 years of procurement experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or energy projects

Minimum 10 years of PMC experience on major oil & gas projects in the Middle East

Previous ADNOC project experience is highly preferred

Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, expediting, and vendor management

Experience with EPC contractors and large-scale capital projects

Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems

Good understanding of international procurement practices and industry standards

Candidates with previous experience supporting ADNOC Onshore PMC projects, overseeing EPC contractor procurement activities, and managing procurement of major equipment such as static equipment, rotating equipment, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and packaged units will be highly preferred
