Education:

College/CEGEP. Electrical, electronic and communications engineering technology/technician. Instrumentation technology/technician. Industrial electronics technology/technician. or equivalent experience.

Tasks:

• Inspect operation of instruments and systems.
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements .
• Repair and adjust system components.
• Complete test and maintenance reports.
• Remove and replace defective parts.
• Calibrate components and instruments.
• Logical approach for troubleshooting.
• Determine testing and maintenance procedures.
• Install new measuring instruments.
• Coach and instruct apprentices.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

• Attention to detail.
• Hand-eye co-ordination.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Personal suitability:

Organized.

Experience:

2 years to less than 3 years.
