Head Teacher

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Provide vision, direction, and leadership to achieve the school's mission and objectives.

Develop and implement the school's strategic and annual improvement plans.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Promote teamwork, professionalism, and ethical conduct among staff.

Academic Leadership:

Supervise teaching and learning to ensure high educational standards.

Monitor curriculum implementation and assessment practices.

Support teachers through mentoring, coaching, and professional development.

Analyze student performance data and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Staff Management:

Recruit, supervise, appraise, and support teaching and non-teaching staff.

Allocate duties and monitor staff attendance and performance.

Organize staff meetings and professional development programs.

Address staff welfare issues and promote a positive work culture.

Student Welfare and Discipline:

Ensure students receive quality education in a safe and supportive environment.

Implement and enforce school rules, policies, and disciplinary procedures.

Promote student attendance, well-being, and personal development.

Handle student disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.

Financial and Resource Management:

Prepare and manage the school's budget.

Ensure effective use and accountability of school resources.

Oversee procurement, maintenance, and security of school facilities and equipment.

Seek opportunities for resource mobilization and school development.

Parent and Community Relations:

Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the community.

Communicate school policies, achievements, and challenges effectively.

Represent the school in meetings, community events, and official functions.

Encourage parental involvement in students' education.

Compliance and Administration:

Ensure compliance with government education policies, regulations, and standards.

Maintain accurate school records and prepare required reports.

Ensure health, safety, and child protection policies are effectively implemented.

Coordinate inspections, audits, and accreditation processes where applicable.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience.

A minimum of a degree in a related field.

Location: Ibadan

Remuneration: NGN 150,000 Monthly
