Major duties

• Provides information and assistance to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures.
• Performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information technology customer support services.
• Participates in the planning and delivery of full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization.
• Provides help desk support, including information and assistance, to customers including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting. Reports, responds to and resolves customer requests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience, which demonstrates IT knowledge and skill including: Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services Installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests OR Undergraduate or Graduate Education degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks may be substitute for above experience. NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.

Education

You may substitute education for experience if you have a bachelor's or graduate degree in a relevant technical field (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or IT Management), OR any degree with at least 24 semester hours of qualifying technical coursework that included hands-on systems or software development. Transcripts are required for verification of educational qualification.
