wireman/woman - industrial electrical equipment

Education:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience.

Tasks:

• Assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Fit electrical control devices into switchboards and panelboards.
• Wire electrical connections for switchboards and panel boards.
• Assemble panelboard and switchboard cabinets and install bus bars.
• Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :

• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
