Maintenance Technician

Your tasks

• Maintain facility, laboratory, and production plant equipment.
• Enforce company safety rules and report unsafe conditions, acts, and equipment failures.
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with company EHS requirements.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with work permit and clearance certificate requirements.
• Coordinate statutory inspections and maintain required certifications.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, job cards, and incident reports.
• Ensure the safety, reliability, and proper functioning of all plant assets and equipment.
• Support plant process safety initiatives and conduct risk assessments for maintenance activities.
• Maintain up-to-date instrument calibration records.
• Keep workshops, stores, tools, and PPE clean and in good condition.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in plant maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance systems.
• Good understanding of EHS requirements, permit-to-work systems, and process safety.
• Knowledge of statutory equipment inspections and maintenance compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise contractors and manage maintenance activities effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in maintenance documentation and record management.
