Senior Credit Controller
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a role where you can take ownership of a portfolio, reduce aged debt and play a key role in improving cash flow?
An established organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Credit Controller to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced credit professional to take ownership of the credit control function, manage complex customer accounts and contribute to the ongoing development of credit processes across the business.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Credit Controller, you will...
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively chasing outstanding debt and reducing aged balances
- Contact customers by telephone, email and written correspondence, negotiating payment plans and resolving payment delays
- Investigate and resolve invoice disputes, payment queries and account discrepancies, working closely with Sales, Operations and Customer Service
- Assess customer creditworthiness, monitor payment trends and recommend appropriate credit limits and actions to minimise bad debt exposure
- Allocate and reconcile incoming payments, maintain accurate customer records and produce aged debt and collection performance reports
Requirements:
As a Senior Credit Controller, you will need...
- Previous experience in a Senior Credit Controller, Credit Controller, Accounts Receivable or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of credit control, debt collection and credit risk management
- Strong Excel and finance systems experience, ideally with exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Sage
