QA/QC Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct quality inspections on civil works including earthworks, concrete works, reinforcement, structural works, masonry, and finishing. Review and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures. Identify quality issues, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and subcontractors. Verify that construction materials meet approved specifications before use. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, test records, and daily/weekly quality reports. Participate in site meetings and provide quality-related recommendations. Ensure compliance with company quality policies, engineering standards, and applicable regulations. Promote continuous improvement and quality awareness across project teams.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in QA/QC on civil construction project sites. Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and engineering specifications. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage. Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment. Membership of professional bodies and COREN registration or progress toward registration will be an added advantage.

Remuneration:  NGN 400 - 450k
