Steel CNC Equipment Technician Location: York, PA Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift Available Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Starting Pay: From $23.00/hour (Higher pay available based on experience) Job Summary We are hiring a Steel CNC Equipment Technician to support production operations in a structural steel manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating automated fabrication machinery, producing quality parts, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area. Candidates with CNC experience in heavy manufacturing or steel fabrication are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Operate and set up CNC fabrication equipment, including beam drill lines, plasma cutting systems, and angle processing machines.

Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, production schedules, and work orders.

Load, position, and secure steel materials using overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and other material handling devices.

Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain production quality and accuracy.

Inspect finished components using tape measures, calipers, framing squares, and other precision measuring instruments.

Make minor CNC program modifications to accommodate different material sizes and thicknesses.

Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

Maintain a clean work area while following OSHA safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.

Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop plans.

Experience using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment is preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
