Security Officer (Full-Time) – Galway (Upcoming Position)

Rate of Pay: €15.41 per hour

Work Pattern: Monday to Sunday (7-day roster, morning & afternoon shifts)

Overview

SOS Group Security Services is currently recruiting Security Officers for upcoming full-time opportunities in Galway. We are seeking reliable, professional, and motivated individuals to join our growing security team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to security incidents
  • Patrol and monitor client premises to ensure safety and security
  • Enforce site security procedures and assignment instructions
  • Control access and secure common areas when required
  • Record and report incidents, security breaches, fire alarms, and health & safety hazards
  • Liaise with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) when required
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter anti-social behaviour
  • Provide support and assistance to residents, visitors, and staff
  • Complete patrols using company software systems
  • Prepare detailed daily reports and incident logs
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times

Requirements

  • Valid PSA Licence (essential)
  • Legal right to work in Ireland
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail and observational ability
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • English language proficiency: B2/C1 minimum
  • Previous security experience is an advantage, but not essential
