Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and work closely with our Sales and Production teams in delivering customer assembly projects.

The role will involve supporting customers and Sales during the quotation stage, developing assembly solutions, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), creating CAD drawings, and coordinating with Production after orders are secured.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and develop suitable assembly solutions.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and material requirements to support costing, quotation and project bidding.
• Use CAD software to prepare assembly drawings and illustrate proposed solutions for customers and internal teams.
• Provide technical support and input during customer discussions and project proposals.
• Coordinate with the Production team after orders are secured to ensure materials, drawings and assembly requirements are properly communicated.
• Monitor project progress and work with Production to ensure projects are completed according to schedule.
• Prepare and maintain Work Instructions, assembly drawings and technical documentation .
• Assist in troubleshooting technical and production issues and work with the relevant teams to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions and suggest improvements to assembly methods and processes.
• Take ownership of assigned projects from quotation through to completion.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field .
• Basic to good working knowledge of CAD software .
• Good understanding of mechanical assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
• Able to work effectively with Sales, Production and customers.
• Able to work independently while also being a good team player.
