Accountabilities: The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data engineering solutions while ensuring reliability, performance, and data quality across production environments. Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical data solutions. Design, build, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines supporting enterprise applications. Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. Create scalable workflows for data ingestion, aggregation, transformation, and automation. Manage versioned data pipelines, including complexity related to changes, releases, and data evolution. Implement logging, monitoring, and instrumentation to ensure pipeline reliability and operational visibility. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, privacy, and compliance through quality control processes. Design and optimize data transformations involving MongoDB, Snowflake, and relational databases. Flatten and normalize complex nested JSON structures into efficient relational data models. Build and optimize Snowflake-based solutions for staging, parsing, and processing semi-structured data. Design, index, and tune MySQL databases to improve performance and maintain data integrity. Mentor and support junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge and engineering best practices. Requirements: The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering, database technologies, and building production-grade data pipelines with modern cloud data platforms. Proven experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and large-scale data processing. Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL and cloud-based data warehouse solutions. Experience working with MongoDB and transforming NoSQL data structures into relational database models. Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Experience developing reliable production data pipelines and automated workflows. Proficiency with SQL and strong understanding of relational database concepts. Experience with Python for data engineering and automation is preferred. Familiarity with ETL frameworks or tools such as Rivery or Informatica is a plus. Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and compliance practices. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver scalable solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with global teams. Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical improvements.
