Intersect was acquired by Google in March 2026 and operates as an independent subsidiary. We are developing and constructing multiple gigawatts of energy and data center projects in the U.S., enabling more data center and generation capacity to come online faster. We’re on an aggressive growth trajectory and looking for people hungry to tackle the largest energy challenges on the planet.

Location & Team Gatherings

Intersect has been a fully flexible workplace since its founding in 2016.  We’ve been very intentional about the way we do things. We are not work-from-home, hybrid, or in-office - we are any and all of those options! Deepening social connections and offering shared experiences is a cornerstone of the way we work. We connect as a team at our Team Week experiences four times a year and at our recently established Hub locations - SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, NY; Denver, CO; Austin, TX; Calgary, AB; and Toronto, ON.

We are currently looking for candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture.

About This Role As part of Intersect's Corporate Initiatives team, you'll help drive some of the company's most visible and strategically important work. This role operates at the center of company leadership, supporting executive decision-making, managing senior Google stakeholder engagement, and driving internal governance and cross-functional alignment across Intersect's highest-priority initiatives. Success in this position requires exceptional communication, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence. You'll partner across functions, influence without direct authority, and help ensure critical initiatives remain aligned, informed, and moving forward. The work is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and offers unique exposure to executive leadership, governance processes, and enterprise-scale strategic initiatives.

Team Overview The Corporate Initiatives team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect's mission to accelerate the clean energy transition. Working across leadership, operations, finance, technology, and strategic initiatives, the team helps ensure alignment on the company's highest-priority objectives. Through cross-functional collaboration, executive communications, governance support, and strategic program execution, the team enables informed decision-making and drives meaningful business outcomes at scale. Joining this team provides a unique opportunity to gain broad organizational exposure while contributing to work with significant impact across the company.

What You'll Do Drive Strategic Integration Execution Support key integration initiatives through project management, stakeholder coordination, and executive communications. Track progress across workstreams, identify risks and blockers, and provide leadership-ready status updates. Develop tools, dashboards, templates, and trackers that improve visibility, accountability, and execution. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align on timelines, deliverables, and operating processes.

Enable Effective Executive Engagement with Google Senior Leadership Develop presentations, briefing materials, and written communications for senior leadership audiences. Translate nuanced operational, financial, and technical information into clear, compelling narratives while maintaining accuracy. Maintain a high standard of quality, structure, and visual clarity across all deliverables. Ensure communications consistently reflect data-driven decision-making and intellectual rigor.

Lead Cross-Functional Strategic Initiatives Support investor, governance, and leadership requests as business needs evolve. Lead assigned projects and workstreams from planning through execution. Navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving requirements while maintaining momentum and accountability. Handle sensitive business information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

What You'll Bring The following experiences and capabilities will help you succeed in this role: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and communicate nuanced insights with clarity and intellectual honesty. Strong project management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities and driving cross-functional alignment. Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information. Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments with changing priorities and ambiguous challenges. Experience building trust and influencing stakeholders across functions and levels without direct authority. Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to connect data, insights, and recommendations. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Finance experience or financial literacy, including the ability to interpret financial statements, understand unit economics, and engage in business discussions supported by data. Familiarity with energy markets, infrastructure, utilities, power, gas, or adjacent industries is preferred. Technical fluency and comfort working with data, systems, reporting tools, and analytical platforms. Experience supporting executive communications, board governance, investor relations, or strategic initiatives is preferred. Exposure to large-scale integrations, corporate transformations, or complex matrixed organizations is a plus. Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace and presentation development tools is preferred. A proactive, organized, and highly accountable work style that drives work forward independently. Low ego, collaborative mindset, and strong relationship-building skills that enable success in highly cross-functional environments. Comfort navigating organizational complexity and balancing both strategic and operational responsibilities.

Total Rewards

Total Compensation: $182,000 - $195,000 (total compensation includes base salary + bonus in USD)
