Tender & Cost Estimation Engineer
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tender & Cost Estimation Engineer to join our Tendering & Estimation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates, obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations, and preparing accurate technical and commercial offers for MEP projects. The position requires a strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering and proven experience in MEP contracting and tendering .
Key Responsibilities Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
Study project requirements and MEP scope.
Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs.
Prepare cost estimates and project pricing .
Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations .
Prepare technical and commercial offers.
Coordinate with Technical Office, Procurement, BD, and Project teams .
Prepare technical queries and clarifications.
Check compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities.
Ensure tenders are accurate and submitted on time.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive prices.
Update pricing, supplier, and cost databases.
Support post-tender analysis and improve future estimates.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering ( Mandatory )
2–5 years of relevant experience in Tendering, Estimation, or Costing.
Previous experience in MEP contracting companies is Mandatory.
Strong practical knowledge of MEP projects , particularly: HVAC
Fire Fighting
Plumbing
Good understanding of MEP materials, equipment, installation methods, and project requirements.
Strong experience in Quantity Take-Off, BOQ Analysis, Cost Estimation, and Tender Pricing .
Good knowledge of the Egyptian construction and MEP market is preferred.
Good knowledge of suppliers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment used in MEP projects.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD .
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tenders simultaneously .
