Leads systems administration for all in-scope physical and virtual server infrastructure, storage, and Active Directory services supporting U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) C4ISR and distribution operations worldwide. Serves as the primary technical point of contact and Capability Lead for systems infrastructure services. This role is designated Mission Essential and must perform during contingencies.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities Install, configure, patch, and maintain physical/virtual server OS (Windows Server 2019/2022, RHEL 8/9), SAN/NAS (NetApp ONTAP), and VMware vSphere/vCenter

Administer user accounts and security groups for in-scope Active Directory domains

Operate data backup and recovery (Veeam) meeting Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective for mission-critical systems

Manage enterprise tools (SCCM, SolarWinds) and support critical service restoration priorities during contingencies

Education & Experience 5+ years of enterprise systems administration (Windows/Linux server, virtualization, SAN/NAS, Active Directory)

DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualification prior to start; Residential Qualification for privileged access

Experience in a DoD/Army enclave with STIG-hardened systems

Backup/DR tooling experience (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent)

Familiarity with SIPRNet-connected mission systems

Certifications DCWF Work Role 411 - Systems Administrator, Intermediate proficiency. Common qualifying certifications: Security+ or CySA+, plus a computing-environment certification (e.g., Microsoft/Linux/VMware)

Security Clearance Secret clearance

Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.) Scott Air Force Base, Illinois; Mission Essential on-site reporting during base closures/contingencies.
