What You'll Do Marketing & Compliance

Review and provide guidance on marketing campaigns, advertisements, promotional content, , and other public-facing materials to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk, and Business stakeholders throughout the creative and campaign development process to identify and mitigate compliance risks early.

Evaluate marketing claims, disclosures, and representations for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory adherence.

Provide actionable compliance recommendations that support business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Research & Advisory

Stay up-to-date on federal and state regulatory developments impacting marketing, advertising, communications, lead generation, and financial products.

Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance for Marketing and other stakeholders.

Assess the impact of regulatory changes and recommend updates to marketing practices, disclosures, processes, and controls.

Process Improvement & Governance

Develop, maintain, and enhance marketing and compliance policies, procedures, review frameworks, and approval processes.

Create guidance documents, job aids, training materials, and best practices that enable compliant marketing execution.

Support the implementation of scalable review and approval workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining compliance oversight.

Maintain documentation of compliance reviews, approvals, findings, and recommendations.

Provide strategic guidance and oversight to various marketing procedures and ensure enhanced quality.

Risk Management & Monitoring

Conduct periodic reviews and monitoring activities to assess adherence to marketing compliance requirements.

Identify potential compliance risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities.

Assist with internal audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance inquiries related to marketing and customer communications.

Develop reporting and metrics to track compliance effectiveness and emerging trends.

Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need 3+ years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, marketing compliance, consumer lending, banking, financial services, or a related field.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.

Working knowledge of consumer financial services regulations, advertising requirements, UDAAP principles, and customer communication standards.

Experience reviewing marketing materials, advertising content, disclosures, and customer-facing communications.

Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear, practical guidance.

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and workflow/document (Asana and Kadince a plus) management tools.

Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.

Intellectual curiosity and a desire to stay current on evolving regulatory and marketing trends.

Excited to collaborate, learn, and help build scalable compliance processes that support business growth.

Experience supporting marketing, advertising, lead generation, or customer communications compliance within a regulated industry.

Familiarity with CFPB guidance, UDAAP principles, consumer lending regulations, and digital marketing compliance considerations.

Experience working with creative teams, product marketing teams, or customer acquisition functions.

CRCM or other relevant compliance certifications.

Travel requirement: All roles require travel during the first 6 months of employment to attend the BHG Oars in Experience. After the initial 6 months, ongoing travel is expected at approximately ~5% annually for periodic team on-sites, team meetings, and cross-functional collaboration.
