Job's mission
We are seeking an early-career software engineer to serve as the field-facing bridge between our central engineering teams and our semiconductor manufacturing customers. This role combines customer-facing deployment and support with hands-on development and engineering contributions to our AI/ML analytics platform.
You will work directly in customer environments, many of which are air-gapped, to deploy and support our platform while also contributing to feature development, debugging, testing, and continuous improvement of the product. This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys both solving real-world problems on-site and building software solutions hands-on.
This opportunity is well suited to a new college graduate or early-career engineer seeking to develop deep expertise across the full lifecycle of enterprise software—from development and testing to deployment and field support—within advanced manufacturing environments.
What you will be working on
Field Deployment & Customer Engagement
Lead deployment and configuration of our analytics suite in customer environments
Deploy on-site during early usage phases to troubleshoot, identify issues, and stabilize system performance
Serve as the first line of support for customer questions, escalating to central teams as needed
Act as the interface between field operations and engineering for issue resolution and feature requests
Conduct demonstrations and help customers understand platform capabilities
Support customer-led server installs and namespace provisioning
Software Development & Engineering Support
Contribute to software development efforts, including bug fixes, small feature enhancements, and tooling improvements
Develop and maintain scripts, utilities, and configuration tooling (Python, Go, etc.) to improve deployment and support workflows
Reproduce field issues in development/test environments and work with central teams to resolve them
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and root cause analysis for production issues
Support integration efforts across services (APIs, data pipelines, messaging systems)
Testing & Product Improvement
Execute and enhance test cases for new releases, particularly in on-prem/air-gapped scenarios
Validate deployments and ensure software quality in real customer environments
Provide structured feedback to engineering teams to improve product reliability, usability, and deployment processes
Help define and improve deployment procedures, documentation, and runbooks
Cross-Team & Vendor Coordination
Support coordination with programming suppliers, including technical communication and translation
Collaborate closely with product, platform, and customer teams to ensure successful deployments
Travel: Less than 25%. This role is based in Taiwan and requires occasional travel to customer sites across Taiwan, Singapore, China, and other locations as needed.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong foundation in software development and debugging (Python, Go, or similar)
Working familiarity with Linux environments
Exposure to modern software stacks: React, Go, Python, PostgreSQL, gRPC, HTTP, Kafka
Comfort working outside the cloud—experience with or willingness to support on-premises, air-gapped deployments
Full professional fluency in both Chinese and English (written and spoken)
Willingness to travel and work on-site at customer facilities
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused engineering mindset
What sets you apart
Experience with C# or backend services development
Exposure to software testing, CI/CD pipelines, or release validation
Basic understanding of AI/ML or data analytics systems
Interest in or experience with semiconductor manufacturing environments
Experience supporting end users or delivering technical demos
Apply today to be part of what’s next.
We make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world. We do this with an eye to the future, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through cutting-edge innovation, and driving the next wave of technological breakthroughs that shape how we live, work, and connect.
