Senior Software Engineer

About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join APBA TG Human Resource Pte Ltd on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative technology solutions within the engineering sector. Based in the Ang Mo Kio North-East Region, this role offers the chance to work on complex projects that support civil and structural engineering applications. You will play a key strategic role in designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack solutions that drive operational excellence across our organization. What you'll be doing Design and develop comprehensive full-stack applications, from front-end user interfaces to back-end server architecture

Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into robust software solutions

Architect scalable, maintainable code and establish best practices for development standards across projects

Conduct code reviews and provide mentoring to junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence

Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality and performance

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience

Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives

Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive system documentation

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve development processes

What we're looking for Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

Strong expertise in back-end development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or C#/.NET

Demonstrated experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL)

Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture

Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies such as Docker

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments

Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Familiarity with engineering or construction industry software applications is advantageous
