JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Partial completion or full certification in professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or ACCA is an added advantage. 0–2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems . Good knowledge of MS Excel. Understanding of basic accounting principles, including general ledger, trial balance, reconciliations, and financial records. Familiarity with local tax regulations and reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries. Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements. Perform bank and account reconciliations. Support senior accountants with internal and external audit preparation. Process and accurately code day-to-day financial transactions. Assist with budget preparation and monitoring for project cost centres. Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions. Assist with payroll data processing and basic tax filings. Maintain accurate and secure financial records. Liaise with other departments to resolve accounting queries. Report financial discrepancies to the senior accountant. Comply with company policies and safety requirements.
