About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can be involved end-to-end ? from hiring and scheduling staff to managing budgets, inventory, guest experience, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in running a tight, well-loved operation.

Key Responsibilities

*Staffing & Team Management*

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Create and manage weekly staff schedules, balancing labor costs with service needs
  • Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and development plans
  • Handle disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and terminations when necessary
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture

*Daily Operations*

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure smooth service during peak hours, stepping in on the floor or in the kitchen as needed
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Manage vendor relationships and place orders for food, beverage, and supply inventory
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs, waste, and portioning

*Financial Management*

  • Manage the restaurant's P&L, including revenue, costs, and profitability targets
  • Prepare and monitor budgets; track daily/weekly/monthly sales performance
  • Handle cash management, POS reconciliation, and bank deposits
  • Analyze financial reports and adjust operations to hit business goals

*Guest Experience*

  • Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and promptly
  • Monitor online reviews and reputation management
  • Build repeat business through excellent hospitality and community engagement

*Marketing & Business Growth*

  • Support or lead local marketing initiatives, promotions, and events
  • Collaborate with ownership on menu updates, pricing, and new offerings
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue and improve operational efficiency

*Compliance & Administration*

  • Maintain licensing, permits, and regulatory compliance (health codes, alcohol service, labor laws)
  • Keep accurate records for payroll, HR documentation, and incident reports
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and facility upkeep

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in restaurant management or a similar leadership role
  • Proven track record managing staff, budgets, and daily operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (Smartserve certification mandatory)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic financial reporting
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma required; degree in hospitality, business, or related field a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 ? 44.0 per week
