WeQuel is looking for a Data Engineer We are currently seeking experienced Data Engineers for assignments within the automotive industry. You will be part of a global, agile team with a strong focus on data quality, platform development, and automation – working in an environment where your technical contributions have a direct impact on business-critical systems and decisions. You are someone who takes ownership of your deliveries, thrives in cross-functional collaboration, and brings both technical depth and the ability to communicate your work clearly to non-technical stakeholders. We are looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or platform engineering

Designing and maintaining data pipelines with a focus on reliability, auditability, and scalability

Data modelling and management of relational data structures across multiple systems and markets

SQL and Python as core working tools

Integration with external data sources and APIs, including cloud environments such as AWS or Snowflake

Working in agile, cross-functional teams with a high degree of autonomy

Communicating technical solutions and data architecture to stakeholders across the organization

Meritorious: Experience from the automotive or manufacturing industry

Interest in or hands-on experience with AI, LLM-based solutions, or automation tooling

Experience building prototypes or internal tools that improve team productivity

Familiarity with ERP or DMS data sources and integration patterns

Location: Södertälje Language requirements: Fluent English required, Swedish is a merit
