WHO ARE YOU? The Manager Vehicle Communication and Activation needs to have the ability to work under demanding and changing conditions. Required competencies A university degree in engineering or computer science or similar A solid experience as project manager or similar with excellent planning skills Experience from software engineering and agile development, including release procedures Experience from service operation and support Experience from automotive industry and preferably also telematics, connected vehicles A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus Have capacity to execute against set targets Ability to establish and maintain good relations with partners and stakeholders Experience as business or system analyst is a great plus Fluent in English - both written and spoken

Volvo Group Connected Solutions (VGCS) provides connected services to the Volvo Group. We enable & accelerate customer-oriented off-board connected service development & delivery. Our solutions exist in Volvo Group products in Europe, Asia, US and South America.

THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES The Technology function within VGCS is accountable for the development, delivery and operation of the complete off-board connected solutions platform(s) including shared framework and common solutions/services one-time and run-time. The Technology Core Functions delivers and maintains the core platform for Volvo Group Connected Solutions such as vehicle communication, subscription management, activation and master data integration.

ROLE DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Manager Vehicle Communication and Activation. As Manager Vehicle Communication and Activation you are responsible for the team deliveries. Assisted by the Domain Team-leads, Business Analysts, Architect and the rest of the domain team you define commitments, a package of features to be delivered according to an agreed plan with the stakeholder. You report progress to stakeholder and Core Functions management team typically on a weekly basis, and secure that actions are taken if issues occur. You make sure that risks are managed along the way from development, test and verification to the final deployment into the production environment. Most often this must be done in close collaboration with other domain teams delivering to the same projects.

Furthermore you are also responsible of run-time service availability of the components and services provided by your domain, that the team resolves incidents according to SLA, and to coordinate problem investigations. For this position we put high focus on interpersonal skills and attitude. You have a genuine interest in leadership and strong coaching capabilities. You have a proven record of the ability to take decisions and create strong networks. You are passionate for people, customer value and technology.

All together you will be responsible of a team who shall be a center of excellence in the domain. By this we mean that we do not only develop on-request, but also helps the stakeholder to identify the optimal solution concept.

Key Responsibilities Responsible for the team backlog which includes development of new or changed features as well as maintenance bug fixes and improvements Resource planning, matching deliveries ahead with resources Decide the content of each development sprint Create and maintain a delivery plan coordinated with other domains and agreed by the stakeholder Track and report development progress Track and report service availability and run-time quality Coordinate Problem investigations Follow up on budget – for one-time deliveries as well as run-time Continuous improvement of way-of-working You care for empowerment, inspiration and a “can do” attitude in the team Responsible for managing the resources of the team
