IT Systems & Automation Engineer (AI Focus)

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a motivated IT Systems & Automation Engineer (AI Focus) to join the expanding Octohide VPN team. In this role, you’ll support and manage the infrastructure powering a VPN used on over 20 million devices worldwide. While technical skills matter, we prioritize a strong eagerness to learn and grow alongside us in a fast-growing environment dedicated to security and reliability.

Monitor and maintain VPN servers on Kubernetes and VMware, diagnose Kubernetes cluster issues as they arise Support server setup, updates, and overall network and server security. Diagnose issues related to throughput, latency, packet loss, or routing. Monitor system resources and logs, respond to incidents, and perform root-cause analysis. Implement AI solutions in-house, automate processes, work with LLMs, and bring your own technological ideas to life. Work with the team to improve infrastructure and security practices.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Linux servers, Docker/Kubernetes. Understanding of TCP/IP, tunneling, routing, DNS. Familiarity with LLMs and their practical applications

Nice to Have

Practical experience with VPN protocols Experience automating server configuration (Bash scripts, Python, etc.). Experience with cloud providers (AWS, OVH, etc.). Knowledge of CDN, or BGP (big bonus). Hands-on hardware server management experience Virtual machine experience

Soft Skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and documentation skills. Willingness to learn advanced networking and security technologies.

Salary

2300-3600 €/mon. gross

Salary will depend on the candidate’s skills and experience
