Network & Security Engineer

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and monitor firewall solutions, including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Sophos, and Check Point.
• Implement and maintain firewall security policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Monitor network traffic, security logs, and alerts to identify, investigate, and mitigate potential security threats.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, firewall, VPN, and other security-related issues.
• Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless controllers, and VPN technologies.
• Perform regular firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and security configuration assessments.
• Maintain accurate firewall, network, and security documentation.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure secure network design, implementation, and operation.
• Maintain compliance with organizational security standards, policies, and industry best practices.
• Generate regular reports on firewall activity, security incidents, network performance, and security events.
• Participate in incident response, security investigations, and remediation activities as required.

Technical Qualifications 1- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including: o TCP/IP o Routing and switching o VLANs o DNS o DHCP o Network troubleshooting

2- Good knowledge of VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL VPN.

3- Understanding of network security concepts, including: o Network segmentation o Access control o Intrusion prevention o Firewall security o Security monitoring and logging Certificates and Education

• A university degree is required.
• An ITI or NTI certificate is considered a strong advantage.
• Relevant networking and cybersecurity certifications will be a strong plus, including:
• Fortinet NSE
• Cisco CCNA
• Palo Alto PCNSA
• Check Point CCSA
• CompTIA Security+

Language Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Good command of both Arabic and English, including verbal communication, reading, and writing.
